The climbing volutes are in addition to our line of code compliance products to provide a more attractive alternative to the extra long newel post on teh starting step. when using a climbing volute, the newel height at the volute will be approximately 4 1/2" lower than what is produced with the starndard volute. The dimension will vary with run and rise of the stairway.
